Description

Type O Negative’s third studio album, Bloody Kisses, was the Brooklyn band’s breakout album, which achieved gold and platinum certifications thanks to its hit singles “Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)” and “Christian Woman.” The album presented crushing, emotionally raw gothic metal steeped in big riffs and sample-heavy keys and laced with frontman Peter Steele’s alluring, acerbic and often-confessional lyrics. Bloody Kisses earned Type O a legion of worldwide fans and elevated the genre to new heights. The deluxe 100 page collector’s edition tells the complete story of the Brooklyn goth-metal icons — from their gritty origin and triumphant rise to their premature demise following the tragic death of frontman Peter Steele — through classic and new interviews with singer-bassist Steele, guitarist Kenny Hickey, keyboardist Josh Silver, drummer Johnny Kelly and more. Thicker than a standard issue of Revolver, this collectible magazine features a limited-edition memorial cover of Peter Steele (with photography by Neil Zlozower) that has embossed type and UV coating.
